Pickleball….that’s my jam. More to your point, you were probably joking, but there is an initiative to take pickleball to the collegiate level. And there are already scholarship opportunities available.
Too bad I missed that window by a few decades.🙁
Looks like a slower less athletic tennis. This would be perfect for UTEP.
Read an article the other day that the fastest growing sport at the collegiate level is women's flag football. I know A&M San Antonio has a team here.
Pickleball is the dumbest it makes no sense. The gym I go to Lifetime, they use to have courts now only one because they put pickleball courts on the otherside. 😠😠😠
Yeah, it takes a certain amount of intelligence to “get” the game.
What I dont get is why people dont slam the ball?? I watch them play and people just hitting it softly.
It’s a little like chess. Come too aggressively and it can backfire. Everything is very calculated. There are plenty of slams, however.
Its nothing like chess. There is no thinking required to play pickleball. The game was made for senior citizens. The older people got they couldn't keep up with tennis, so they decided to make pickleball. I rather play table tennis.
