UTEP FAU OPT and Game Thread
Believe it or not, our free throw shooting was better than FAU's. That is the only bright(er) spot as we were absolutely abhorrent in our inside/outside shooting. Layups anyone? -

The Miners were not particularly hot shooting in either the Marshall or the Louisiana Tech games. It appeared Marshall was on fire against us; and Tech was particularly cold. I would argue, however, that our defense (or lack thereof) was the key variable and difference maker in the two games... -

All in all, it's been a very good weekend for UTEP sports thus far...whether we were supposed to win our games or not. We avoided the "UTEP choke" in both men's football and basketball. Let's hope it carries over into Monday night. Who knows--we might even get accustomed to winning. The Rice... -

I did some background research on E. Kentucky. It reads as though they are committed to making the move and upgrading. I now feel they may be a good match (if not optimal).
