Hopefully thats still last weeks ranking because it makes no sense otherwise.
They’ve updated records but not ranking. OU still sits at 3 on the link you provided. They will drop some. UT will climb some from the 8 spot they were last week.

CBS sports normally releases their rankings on Monday. This list is probably just updating the records of last weeks rankings.
I wish him all the best, but I actually loved Coach Strong.
This is why you make the big bucks: Too win those game when your behind and you should've actually lost, but pull it out. I hope Nebraska get's back to those legendary days but it's a work in progress.

Part of this assessment comes from personal experience.
UTEP now ranked above 4 of the remaining 8 opponents. If the Miners actually win 4 more that would mean 7 wins and if cusa bowl games are played, UTEP would likely be bowling. Wouldn't that be cool. Hasn't happened yet but you never know.
The New Mexico Bowl has been waiting for us to be bowl eligible for years. Wait are they even playing the NM Bowl this year?
Let's hope football season can make it, to bowl season. If so, will the NM bowl take a 4 or 5 win UTEP team? Now that all the conferences are back to playing, and records are out the window. Has me wondering, if they go with more P5 schools, for bowl selection?
If the bowl games are played without fans (or minimal fans) due to the coronavirus, then it's doubtful. The only reason the NM Bowl would take such a UTEP team would be to bring in the fans from El Paso, but if the bowl games are not played before fans, then the priority would instead shift to television ratings, and I don't think ESPN would consider a 5-win UTEP team to be a big television draw.
UTEP's best bet for bowling is to win at least 6 games.
How much do sponsorships like Tony the Tiger pay for in terms salaries of Sun Bowl staff etc....? If there is no game, I am thinking out loud, there is probably no sponsor money. No ticket sales, no TV revenue. Seems like a year without a game could be the death of a bowl game.
