IDK got a lot going on right now. talking about UTEP sports for an hour isn’t good for my health right now.
Will UTEP be retiring Bernie’s phlegm that he was always coughing up and choking on during the broadcasts?

I feel bad for Bernie because he seemed to have loved UTEP so much but it was time. As a mater of fact, it was probably time long ago but I wish him well
I also feel bad for Bernie. Imagine the amount of god awful football he has witnessed the last 30 years while calling UTEP football. I'm surprised he's not on antidepressants.
Whenever I heard Bernie, I had visions of Bob Uecker from Major League in my mind - complete with a bottle of Jack Daniels in hand.

I wish UTEP would bring back the post game call in show with Teicher. All the drunk arse UTEP fans slurring and post arm chair game calling was classic. These local sports media personalities over the years were "poor Teicher....he takes abuse from fans and has to witness bad UTEP football". Jeezus, you think he was a cop at a Portland protest.
It's a privilege having that job and at the FBS level, even at UTEP. Don't feel bad for Bernie. He should be thanking UTEP and El Paso for the opportunity.
MinerTalk is actually better now. When Teicher was doing it, anytime a caller said something “negative” or questioned one of the coaches, he would cut them off and say “Thanks for the call”. I remember one time someone called in telling a story about Greg Foster in a locker room.
At least now, the KROD people will answer questions critical of the play/coaches.
Teicher seemed to have gotten fed up with doing the show, I remember him sounding real cranky at taking some of those calls.
It wasn't UTEP who did away with the show. It was the media partners who stuck to their personal format

I like drunk color guys but they seem to be on their way out. Bernie will be missed.
Though I was never a Cubs fan, Harry Caray was the best of em’ all.
