CUSA Basketball: Who is hot, who is not & who dat?

So basically UFC/ESPN are charging for what used to be 'free' if you had any carrier with FS1 (free UFC fight nights and PPV prelims)?

Overall, yes. That was my opinion at first as well. Part of the new agreement is to buff up the ESPN “television’ cards. The January event is stacked. Henry Cejudo / TJ Dillashaw match could easily headline a PPV show.

Not CUSA, but UNM just dismantled Nevada. I was hoping to see Nevada go undefeated to the post season.

Marshall and UTSA clearly the hot teams in CUSA. Still too early to call but they had a very nice week.

Hot: UTSA and Marshall

(Was hot but now) Not: USM and WKU

Who dat?: La Tech and ODU.

Fall from grace has to be MTSU.

Hot: Marshall. Maybe UNT (but UTEP has exposed that they are very vulnerable). The name McCasland (at UNT) has to be whispered in some offices back east? DePaul, Wake Forest. Perhaps Boston College? Out west? Sean Miller was supposed to build a top five program but yet all he has to show is a FBI investigation that haunts him. McCasland has clearly shown he can "git'r done", play competitively at low mid major schools and buily fairly quickly at Arkansas State and UNT.

eh: The rest of the teams in CUSA.

Well, as of right now for the CUSA conference title it's Marshall's to lose. UTSA lost a game you're supposed to win and the ugly loss last night for sure knocked them out of being a bubble team unless they win the tournament. UNT has an outside chance.

No such thing as a bubble team in C-USA.

CUSA has to provide some type of window dressing for CUSA basketball. UTEP had Houston and Tulsa until they left. USM and UAB had Memphis. Rice has UTEP as much as the hate to admit. Who else would make such a big deal against sub par, freshman laden UTEP squad? Hype up some rivalries somehow. There's no sense of urgency from a fan or public stand point.
