CUSA Media Day with Kugler interview

Well, if one was to take anything away from the Kugler interview, there are several, of which he's either being very truthful or is sandbagging the listening audience.

1. He all but said their offense isn't going uptempo. My guess is it'll be a variation of no huddle, much like we saw last season. But a play ran every sixteen seconds isn't happening.

2. He's going to run it and they are going to have balance throwing. Thoughts are more spread formations but not necessarily running a spread offense. He's got an arsenal of capable WRs at his disposal. I'd be shocked if he and his OC don't find a way to use them.

3. Physicality. They are going to be an even more physical team than last season. From the OL to the defense and flying around. The LA Tech loss last season "sounds" like it was their wake up call. Good.

4. Confidence. This team, so far, doesn't sound like a team that lost their bowl game last year. You'd think they blew Utah State off the field. Of course we know they didn't. But they didn't get blown either and although moral victories are a matter of personal opinion, there were a lot of positives to take from that game, defensively speaking. Offensively too, but dying in the red zone isn't the way to finish a drive.

Too bad their marketing department hasn't started promoting the program and this season more prominently. But using "Unfinished Business" as a hashtag for social media is a good start.
