The rumor I've heard is that he had a pretty big falling out with some members of the team. He was still tight with Haskins, but I think that's about it. Others would probably know more about it than me.
I just think it's odd how UTEP seems to have gone Soviet Union on him. I don't think he was mentioned much or even at all during the 40th anniversary/Glory Road run up. Didn't even get a "he couldn't make it today" today. I wonder if UTEP's going to airbrush him out of the Memorial Gym photo at some point.
To each their own, I guess. But, this is the last time these guys are going to get together. You've got to bury the hatchet at some point.

He hasn't attended many of the reunion stuff and word is he will never attend. Don't know why, he doesn't come to AHS reunions either. His actions make him seem bitter about something, sad to be part of something so amazing and relevant and then waste it for any reason.
I do think it is weird that they failed to mention him these last couple of years. I'm very curious as to why they never mention him. Especially today since they brought out equipment managers and band members and what not.
David Palacio is arguably the most distinguished member of the the 66 team. Even as the head of Univision Music, there is precious little info on him online. He must be a pretty private person. He may not need or want the spotlight.
