Clearly Brett doesn’t know anything about soccer. He suggested Mikey Ambrose could be on it. He’s played 25 MLS games in 5 years. He’s a role player and already 26. Pepi is a possibility, but Ambrose is ridiculous.

I’m not going to knock anyone for being selected because a lot of it comes down to popularity both of the sport and the athlete. So on one hand I am a little surprised Jones didn’t make the list given that he’s a local guy and he’s put up good numbers in The NFL.
I am also not surprised that Ted Banks didn’t make the list, but 17 National Champions and turning UTEP into a powerhouse in the late 70s to early 80s should be recognized.
