Dana Dimel isn't coaching anymore, this is a new era of UTEP Football. Unfortunately it's probably going to start like the last several eras have:

Mike Price lost 9-41 vs ASU in his coaching debut on the road so this game won’t decide the season. But this is Nebraska and there are too many question marks for me to feel confident about game 1.

UTEP has not covered on the road, against a P4 school, in I don't know how long. But I think it will happen and it will be closer than anyone thinks. Not because UTEP has improved tremendously (they have, a little), but because Nebraska is overhyped like usual.
If I was this confident I would empty my savings account on bovada. I’d have my house paid off by Tuesday when the banks open.
I don’t know how anyone could sanely predict a UTEP win. Most of the players were 3-9 last year or playing at Austin Peay. Have to go with history on this one until SW has a couple of games under his belt.
No Sane person thinks Utep will win. However covering 27 1/2 is very possible. I say 3 tds probably

Yeah it’s possible they cover, but gonna be tough considering the past, atmosphere, and opponent.
Our only hope to keep the game close is if the Nebraska freshman QB comes out playing bad, and NU turns the ball over several times. I hope our guys come fired up, take care of the ball and score points. The longer this game stays close the more confident our team will get.
I’d be happy with a 2TD loss or less and I’d be over the moon with a an upset like Texas St. had last year over Baylor that got them rolling!
I don't expect Nebraska to struggle as much as Baylor did last season, and I don't see UTEP being as strong as Texas State either.
I don’t either particularly, but I’m saying that would be Amazing! History of course isn’t on our side, but new coach and new attitude so who knows!
Ah, I remember the days of new season optimism. Being a UTEP fan is tough. Hope can quickly turn into heartbreak.
