Haskins and the short clock

At the NMSU game the Miners were down 3 with about 12 second left on the clock. Miners bring it over the half court and call time out with 8 seconds.

I could feel the Bear rolling over in his grave.

Haskins would never have called time out in that situation. He would have attacked the basket and gotten the easy 2 or maybe a 3 point foul.

As a matter of fact he would have set the whole thing up in the previous time out.

Also, if a team would press a Haskins team, he would have his players attack the basket right away.

These young coaches can still learn a thing or two.
 
Haskins said that the new coaches always had 50 different ways to attack the pressure and every game they did something different. He said why not just do it one way, and execute perfect everytime.
