I had the opportunity to attend this weekend's HoF Shootout in Charlotte. Two games that I was most interested in were the Liberty/East Carolina and the Charlotte/Wake Forest matchups. Both were competitive with Liberty coming back from a deficit to win and Charlotte coming up a little short with Wake Forest hitting a last second three. Both, Liberty and Charlotte weren't overly talented with two or three standout players. I was mentally comparing those teams with what CJG has to work with and it's comparable. All-in-all I think Liberty will be a good addition and probably leaps and bounds ahead of most of the schools that are departing C-USA. I was hopeful for UTEP after seeing both teams for this year and the years to come.
