Houston Area Football Recruiting Problem

Looking at this list this morning, I am concerned why our coaching staff is neglecting the Houston area for recruiting, especially considering our D Coordinator used to coach in this area. UTSA is cleaning up on this list. Even NMSU and UNM ahve a few recruits. We should be recruiting Houston a lot more.

I think everyone knows that the Houston area is one of the most fertile areas for recruiting which is why everybody else is there. In my opinion, the immediate results of Kugler's first recruiting class, the fact that he was able to get under the radar guys like the Jones Brothers, Musgrave, and Wesley Miller to preform so well has earned Kugler the benefit of the doubt. Finding overlooked players who do well in our system and our coaching is an approach that I think makes sense for UTEP.

Looks like there are quite a few from Los Angeles...about same distance as Houston...would be interesting to see an LA/Orange County top 100.
