I sure hope that Hunter got it out of his system tonight. It sucks that he had his worst game of the season tonight but I'm counting on him learning from the experience and come back with a vengeance.

GO MINERS!

Overrated Prima Donna

This cat is talented but he is overrated. He needs to get his attitude straight and be a team player.

This was by far his worst game as a Miner. Not because he scored 4 points. Because he let his guy bury us in a hole in the first three minutes of the game that we were not going to get out of. And, two more dumb fouls that put him on the bench for most of the first half. It's almost getting to the point where Lang or Washburn or someone is going to have to escort him down the floor after he screws up so he doesn't pick up these stupid revenge fouls.

I agree about Hunter's fouls. When is he going to learn not to commit these stupid, silly, and pointless fouls? Maybe its a pride thing when he doesn't get the whistle that expects during every drive.

It looked like he was trying to do everything by himself and getting frustrated when the defense closed in on him. He tries too hard. Needs to relax. Coach Floyd talks about guys playing within themselves, Hunter was the perfect example of that.

I'm curious but what was Lang doing differently to make those easy layups? Or was it simply because Hunter was being double teamed or something? Because it looked like he was getting them, but for some reason his lay up looked weird..

First and foremost, Lang plays under control and allows the flow of the game to develop. He doesn't play with the reckless abandon that seems to be an ongoing issue with Hunter. Secondly, Lang's game has steadily improved from season to season. He has added drop steps, and spin moves, and low post strength to his arsenal. Lang is clearly UTEP's best player right now and for most of this season. I will be on hand for his senior day vs. Rice. He will be missed.
