Didn’t realize CJG and Chris Beard are close. Bobby Knight was Beard’s mentor. I wonder who CJG would say is his mentor?

Beard has tons of connections in Texas basketball. It's almost a two degrees of separation thing with him. That's one of the many reason he got the job at Texas. He has a shot to land any recruit in the state and he will outwork anyone and teaches his teams to do the same.
