I miss seeing him do that in a Miner uniform
Smith was almost even with him numerically. It did not turn out to be a great loss
73-Touches, 1429-Yards, 19.6-Yards per, 8-TD
71-Touches, 971-Yards, 13.7-Yards per, 6-TD
Thats a pretty big difference. 20 yards a touch you have to really game plan for. 14 is nice, but not something that's going to change a teams coverage.
Yards difference is pretty wide. The others about even. Conclusion is that Smith is really good. What are the chances he’s in a UTEP uniform next season ?
Who knows…maybe he likes being the guy and will stay. The difference maker that I’m going to miss the most is Baechle. That will be a loss for sure. And after watching Brownholtz in one and half games, do you think Utep would have a better record, same record, or worse record if he was the starting qb this season? Just curious.
We would've probably won New Mexico. Outside chance at some others because of his running, but honestly he looked pretty terrible in most practices. Can't blame the coaches for not playing him.
