Lots of talk on the sell out the sun bowl, now it’s time for the predictions.
24,236

Tickets sold and allotted 36,000 +/- (FBS mid majors have private business's buy up to thousands of tickets to meet NCAA minimum home attendance guidelines, 5 home games/15k minimum average, because the rules are vague. It not just a "UTEP thang" like NoWins eludes to).

Fannies in the stadium: 33,500

Filling a stadium is a forever challenge at the FBS level, unless it is UT vs TAMU or other big time rivalry games. Even P5 schools struggle.

TCU: "attendance challenge a potential problem "

And even if you do manage to fill up a stadium. If you obliterate your opponent by halftime, most people leave to go get cheaper drinks at the tailgate. And the stadium still looks half empty on TV. That's how UT games were like during the Mack Brown, Vince Young, Colt McCoy era. My wife still expects Texas to win every game 55 to 7.

Most P5 schools aren’t 11,000 student private schools in a Dallas “suburb” either.

So what about the bet?
Yeah bud I live here and you're way off on that. Fort Worth has it's own heart beat. The city alone has almost a million and it's suburbs just in Tarrant county almost reach 3 million. Then Dallas and it's suburbs reach another 4.5 million So DFW is roughly 7.5 million. However never not once has Fort Worth been considered a Dallas suburb guy lol

That’s why I put it in quotes. Still, my point is, it’s a “small” private school with lots of entertainment options. Most P5 schools are the opposite of that.

According to the numbers I was told today, that number has already been passed long ago. I don't know how many B.I.S. there will be (Butt's In Seats) but over 30,000 tickets have been allotted for. Usually the number of allotted vs actually fans differs quite a bit. That with the walk up crowd and I change my original guess to 27,435

I’m looking at the seating map right now and the end zone seats are being gobbled up nicely. Also noticing more seats being taken on the east side of the SB than any of the previous home games. We may hit 20k or even a little more with the walk up crowd tomorrow.
