Rule #
1 Pick the winning team correctly

2 Smallest Differential. The difference in actual score and predicted score for each team. The absolute value of the difference is taken. Then the two absolute value differences are added together.
(For example, Kyyote predicts UTEP to score 61, UTEP actual score is 65: Differential of 4 or -4 depending on how you look at it. Take the absolute value and it is positive 4. He also predicts the opponent to score 58, actual score 56: Differential of -2 or 2, absolute value of 2. Total Differential: 4 + 2 = 6.)

3 1st Tie Breaker: Total Predicted Score and Actual Total Score differential. Smallest differential wins.

4 2nd Tie Breaker: Closest differential of total score prediction with actual total score without exceeding the total score.

5 3rd Tie Breaker: Closest predicted score of winning team

6 4th Tie Breaker: I don't know but we'll come up with something good.

7 Nobody picks the correct winning team: Follows rules 2 through 6 to determine a winner from those who picked the losing team.

8 3 points will be awarded for the correct pick (1st Place), 2 points for the 2nd best prediction and 1 point for the third best. Tiebreaker rules will be applied in case of a tie.

9. If the OPT winner (1st Place) predicts the exact winning score, they will be awarded 1 additional point. In case of a tie for first when more than one person predicted the exact winning score, only the person who first predicted it will be awarded the extra point in addition to 3 points for 1st place.

By these rules, can you explain how Fanatico is the winner over Sarabia?

Can you break down the predictions between Fanatico vs Sarabia with the actual numbers please?

MinerFanatico was the only participant who accurately predicted the score of the winning team. If two or more participants had guessed the score of the winning team then I would have implemented rule #2 as a tie breaker.
Rule #1 is predict the winning team. It does not include score. I have never seen a prediction rule where the first winner is someone who predicts the winning teams score first.
Rule #2 is the absolute value.

Well if this is the thread I will give it a try...
45-3 Miners

Any word on Hankins? Hope he's OK, but if he's out I think Wadley and Awatt run roughshod.
