This game will be on ESPN College Extra (Spectrum Cable channel 398) .
I’m here at the Sun Bowl. Very few people here about 50 minutes before kickoff. I’d be surprised if there are 20,000 tonight.
Heather Wilson has been talking about the importance of athletics success to the future of UTEP. Hopefully she’ll put more $ into it.
Hot damn! What an impressive opening drive for a touchdown by UTEP. That offense just pushed around the Nevada defense.
Success with the running game so far. Nevada having trouble bringing Hughes down.
Dumb penalties have given Nevada the opportunity to keep their drive going.
I would love to know what Locksley saw before he threw that pass.
Absolutely no knock on Fields because he’s running hard but why have we not seen Hughes since he ran for over 8 yards a carry and a TD in that first drive?

Dimel is Kugler 2.0. Hughes dominated in that scoring drive, and then we completely abandon what worked. Then of course Dimel has to put in Kai, and Kai does what he does best, throw an interception. Kai now has 3 TD passes and 10 interceptions at UTEP. The dude is not a QB at this level and Dimel just can't admit it.
I didn’t get the benefit of a replay but it didn’t look like the Nevada rb got the first down. Bad spot by the zebras from what I could see.
Nevada just scored their second TD. That offensive line was like The Great Wall of China. UTEP had absolutely no pass rush whatsoever.
Now Jones throws an ugly pick too. Like a jump pass in basketball. UTEP trying hard to lose this game.
UTEP should have Nevada on the ropes, but they’re making too many mistakes.
