The one guys called them Texas A&M twice and Texas Tech once. So bad.
Teddy Allen played on another level today.
Wow I didn't realize how good Allen was. He's next level good and has good height and is super confident
He played at West Virginia as a freshman and played at Nebraska as well. Big 12 and Big 10 are very good conferences.
I always cheer for what I believe is best for the Miners. In my mind, mid-major wins over high majors are beneficial to all mid-major teams. As such, I always cheer for a mid-major versus a high major, no matter who the mid-major is. I was cheering for the Aggies tonight.

NMSU is currently the closest team to being a q1 opponent in CUSA 4.0.
Look at the MW. The only non conference q1 wins the 4 NCAAT had was St Mary's and Washington St. The other 18 wins were against each other. It takes time to build that kind of reputation.

Geez seems like there is a lot of NMSU haters out tonight. More so then what I am used to for besides the rivalry bs, and I consider myself a lurker here beyond football season. Come new CUSA I expect NMSU will be a top 2 team and I am really looking forward to when UTEP will be challenging us for that. Plus this win in the NCAA tournament helps out the new CUSA's net ranking because of the leavers. Same with how with the other WAC teams only getting a 15 seed besides NMSU. Here's hoping for a 2 bid CUSA in 2024.
I’ve been cussed out wearing a UTEP jersey inside the Pan Am center. There is no love lost between us and the Aggies but this great. The Ags weren’t even able to play games in the state of NM last season and now they get a huge win in the tournament. This is great for our region. IMO they can beat Arkansas on Saturday

I want UTEP to beat NMSU in basketball regularly. But it's a bigger deal for UTEP to beat the Aggies when they are good. If they can keep up this level of play, Conference USA really can become a multi bid league. If you want to kick the Aggies around fine. Just man up and kick them when they're up as well as when they're down. Flashes of ACDC there. A rising tide raises all boats. Go Miners.
Sorry to hear that mate, but yes there is no love lost between UTEP and NMSU. Still us Aggies root for UTEP outside our games. Its the UNM NMSU games that have no real love lost between them and often result in fights (Plus Albuquerque is more dangerous than EP or LC). There is a different sort of feeling between the Aggies and Miners and Aggies and lobos (at least on our end). There are assholes on each side but we want y'all to win because it helps our Net rankings and makes our football losses more bearable.
I agree and want to reiterate that I am pulling for NMSU here. This was a great win tonight for our region and for the Ags considering all they’ve been through. I hope y’all keep going and keep winning
Glad to hear that and that is more than any lobos fan will do. I hope we do well this season and in CUSA to get extra NCAA money, but Coach Golding will be smacking us hard soon. UTEP will be a CUSA champion contender in the next few years under Golding. Hopefully if NMSU will have something to say about that but still. CUSA is going to be fun!
