NFL is voting on an optional alternative to the onside kick. 4th and 15 from your own 25. You could do it twice a game.

Chance of converting a 4th and 15 is 24%
Chance of converting onside kick is 10%.

What do you all think?

What did the XFL do on the onside kick? I loved their 2 pt conversion and kickoff rules.

I don’t like it. The teams with a potent offense will have a clear advantage. It will lead to more comebacks so that’s cool if you’re on the winning side.

Can you only do this when you're behind? Let's say you take the lead on a long punishing drive, maybe the Defense had an injury, maybe you are playing the Chiefs and you know that you're not going to stop them so you want them to score faster so you will have the ball last...

I like it, but I agree with kickball. I'd also move the ball up to the 40, to encourage more onside attempts.
