This is unacceptable in my mind. I have gone to UTEP basketball games with very few games missed unless out of town since 1983. Ready to give up my tickets.....

I voted for firing at the end of the season but right now would also be good. Stull better do his job in March and get Floyd out.

End of the season. I feel so bad for CTF don't understand where it all went wrong. It just didn't work out like we all thought when he was first hired. If Stull is not fired himself don't expect much to change he's the main issue. So focused on renovating the Sun Bowl he's lost sight of the big picture.

Complete overhaul needed hopeful they are smart and humble enough to realize they need to move on. Let's make the as process fast and smooth as possible.

CTF was part of the glory days, I understand millenials don't care about traditions but this man does deserve respect even at this low point of this program.

GO MINERS!

UTEP's a bad basketball team everybody knows it, including the administration. The fans just got to stomach this disaster. The only voices that count are the top donors and we will see by the end of the season if they feel Floyd is the still the right guy. Just don't know what insight these top donors get or how they feel about Stull, things don't get out publicly. Looking forward to the offseason because if no changes are made it will alienate a lot of the fan base. By changes I'm putting Stull and Floyd in the crossfire. It just seems like a critical time in UTEP athletics.

GO MINERS!

Fire him & the entire staff at the end of the season. I don't want Phil Johnson or any other assistant as an interim. Clean the house entirely at the end of season. Sad state of affairs in Miner Basketball.

Lol! Grandpa pill too hilarious. We all want what's best for UTEP. For me Floyd is down for the count no need to kick dirt on the man.

GO MINERS!

I agree. No need to kick a man when he's down...but let's get rid of CTF, the coach, and then everybody on this forum will leave CTF, the man, alone.

Stop making Floyd the victim. If anything it's the players he has run off, or failed to develope... That are the true victims... Floyd how the hell can you have that much experience, and fail so bad. It showed when he lost to Memphis in the CUSA finals... This man, is above the game in his eyes. A hard ass, that failed to adapt. Probably a nice guy? A Haskins guy? Thats good, but he has been given enough time to show SOME commitment to winning. All he has done is belittle the media, act like a fool on live tv.

"Hang him from the highest tree" was not an option?

In all seriousness, firing him now would be stupid and counterproductive. You gain nothing from firing a coach midseason. By all means, they should absolutely fire him at the end of the season. But not until then. Having an interim coach kills recruiting worse than having a coach on the hot seat does. Let Floyd accomplish whatever meager recruiting he can, then let the new coach decide whether he wants to keep the players that signed with Floyd. There is literally no upside to firing your coach in the middle of the season. Which is precisely why no school ever does it.

Juden, the best thing about firing him now is that you are telling the kids and fans that you want better for the program and you want it now. It also gives all coaches that will be interested time to mull it over and apply.

You ABSOLUTELY must fire him now.
