Ok....I was hoping UTEP would make a statement tonight with a solid road win and with willms back in action and hunter on the mend, I thought this would be a turning point. Instead .....miners choked on national tv...same old stuff : can't score when it matters. The reality is this is as good as it gets. They've looked good and have beaten mediocre teams but against good teams they haven't done jack! So...I'll keep cheering them on but with my optimism in check,

Its frustrating that in Floyd's fifth year we still dont have a signature win. I was convinced tonight was the night. Its very frustrating to lay that big of an egg on national tv. Hopefully the guys come out ready to play Saturday so we dont get a repeat of the Marshall debacle.

I wouldn't call ODU and Xavier mediocre, but for the most part they haven't stepped up when it really counts, thats for sure
