if the name looks familiar it's because he's the guy who was thought to have hit the game-winning shot for Kansas in 1966 against Texas Western until it was ruled out of bounds. He was a true basketball legend and every bit as important to UTEP history and legacy as Pat Riley and Adolph Rupp. May this great rest in peace

Last year I met Ted Owens who was the Kansas coach in 1966. He gave me these pictures of the shot. He still believes Jo Jo was not out of bounds
