I was reading over at Kyyote's and a member brought up a good point. Since Touchet started yesterday, the going was slow but he protected the ball well and no stupid T.O.'s like D.A. has been prone to do and as he did yesterday. He has become aggressive in attacking the paint, his 3 game is ok, but is getting much better as compared to the beginning of the year. You can physically notice that he has developed his upper body and shows more strength and tons more confidence.

Been saying it for a while, but I think the kid will be a stud player in the near future. He can handle the rock, drive, shoot the three, and he hustles on defense. Those are good attributes to have as a pg.

His confidence is also increasing. I could see him taking more and more playing time away from DA

Holy crap I have been saying this forever!! The team looks better when is running the team and people gave me sooo much crap about it lol

Artist is hard worker. Reminds me of a train conductor. If I ran a train company I would want him in charge. This guy can handle the ball pretty good. Those between the leg and behind the back dribbles were mesmerizing the Roadrunners.

Artist should train younger ballers on how to conduct the basketball trains

At this point, anything is worth a shot. Why not? Nothing else has worked. In my wildest dreams there no way to salvage this disgraceful season. Might as well experiment. Why not give Caldwell and the Mexican kid some time as well.

It doesn't really matter who starts if you're just going to bury him on the bench for the final 15 minutes of the half.

Purple has been saying it. And although I don't think his talent on this level, he does a nice job managing the offense. Those back to back 3's, if he can do that each game it will keep the defense honest.

The other thing, he's a freshman. So if this season is lost, why not let Broderick, Paul Thomas, Touchet, Omega, get the minutes so that we can build for the future. Make this year a youth movement.

"Yes", in answer to the thread title/question. Touchet had a hell of a first half. As his confidence increases, so will his production. Along with Purple, I've been high on Touchet, and his very apparent potential, as well. Not sure why the fukk he sat on the bench most of the second half, only to come in the last minute and a half of the game. Would rather mention Touchet's improvement than bash on Artis, but I will say I wouldn't mind if DA was gone tomorrow.

Also, minimizing Touchet's playing time in the second half after playing so well in the first, was just another masterful coaching job by our staff with so much combined coaching experience. Well done guys. Bravo!

Two time Gatorade Player of the year in State of Louisiana for some reason! I believe led his team to 2 state titles at 4A!

Agree, and wish he'd received more PT during pre conference. It's funny though, because a few games ago, some were posting on here that Touchet should not get another minute of playing time.

Some were...and some weren't.
