i think kugler goes back with leftwich after he is healed!!! Saying a starter shouldn't lose his job due to injury

Or do you think kugler is now happy as hell because he can say we gave leftwich a shit but Metz out performed him?
he will make excuses for Leftwich and play him. Kugler and Higgins can't have a freshman QB show them up with play calling. Well if it is Leftwich, then at least let Metz call the plays.
Unfortunately I think Kugler is so rigid and uncompromising regarding his offensive philosophy, he will continue to resist implementing a more balanced offense scheme, which means Lefty will remain our QB
Sometime guys are awesome at practice and then u have guys that are gamers. If Metz is a gamer roll with him

Kugler did say that the coaches coach the QB's up so that they can call the plays in a fast paced situation like the end of this game since they wouldn't have time to shuttle plays in and out. He then gave Metz credit for having learned all that and executing so well. I hope Johnson will do the same and we will have 2 freshmen QB's capable of winning games for the next 4 years.
Has anyone seen anything leading them to believe Johnson is capable of completing passes in college? I'm really not sure why everyone is so high on him. But that's just me....
I agree. He is more of a project player with a big upside. Right now he isn't starting QB material. I think he would be a stud in a spread offense, not in a Kugler/Higgin's type of offense that has a very boring very basic pass attack. IMO, Kuglers system is the wrong type of system for him. Im not sure if NMSU recruited him, but he would put up big numbers in that type of offense.
Way to early to make a judgement about Kavika. He has only had nine pass attempts in his career. I think its easy to forget he's a true freshman. Four months ago he was in high school. Its super rare for a true freshman qb to get playing time. The fact that he has is a testament to his talent. To my count there are only four true freshman qbs who have got playing time this year: Rosen UCLA, Murray at A&M, who has struggled, and Stidhman at Baylor who has only played in garbage time and Johnson UTEP. Its amazing that kavika earned playing time as a true freshman and its way to early to make any judgements about his abilities.
