Since 16 is greater than 14.....it was a super conference. You could also say “from reading the article, quote from the sec) you’re managing two 8 team conferences
Big Ten went to 14 teams, and I hate it (Rutgers does not belong in the Big Ten!), but the conference shows no signs of imploding.
However, for a one-bid conference like CUSA, adding more teams just means you're splitting the pie more ways. When a conference like the Big Ten adds teams, they'll also get more bids and bowl games (and TV markets, the rationale for adding Buttgers), so they're growing the pie.
