UTEP Financial Audit

So this is actually covering the 2020 fb season and 2020-21 school year. Not surprising numbers considering.

So -3.6M for Football
-600k for MBBALL
-1.3M for WBBALL
-4.6M for the other sports

-$10.1M deficit to run UTEP athletics in 2020-21. Comes out ahead $3M thanks to $9.5M in student fees. And still, some of you want to raise student fees and have them pay more for a program that loses money and doesn’t even have good results while doing so.

They lost money in large part because they really coudn't sell tickets for 2020 football.

That’s part of it, sure. Still, the students shouldn’t be the main source of income.
Not this way but students are a main source of income for any college. The college doesn't care if the tuition per student is paid out of the students pocket, from a grant or scholarship or whatever as long as the school is getting money for that student.

Does UTEP receive 9.5M every year from student fees? They can't have suddenly raised the activity fee during the pandemic when students couldn't attend activities. And what does that come to per student? $600 or so per school year?

Uh, no. NoWins and denver are two of the biggest df homers on here.

You provide no facts nor sourcing.
If it's negative about UTEP, well by all means it's fair game with any analysis!
