UTEP Men’s Hoops to Play at Pac-12 Power Arizona Dec. 12

EL PASO – The UTEP men’s basketball team will play at Pac-12 program Arizona on Saturday, Dec. 12. The Miners and Wildcats are set to tipoff at 4 p.m. MST in the McKale Center.

The contest is sponsored by Pepsi and can be heard on 600 ESPN El Paso with “The Voice of the Miners” Jon Teicher calling the action. The game will also be televised on the Pac-12 Network.

The Wildcats are 2-0 after wins against Grambling (74-55) on Nov. 27, and Eastern Washington (70-67) on Dec. 5. Both contests were played in Tucson. Arizona will have contests against Northern Arizona (Dec. 7) and CSU Bakersfield (Dec. 9) before facing the Miners.

UTEP is 2-0 after victories against UT-Permian Basin (100-81) on Nov. 25, and Sul Ross State (84-65) on Dec. 5. The Miners will play at Saint Mary’s College on Dec. 8.

St. Mary's and Arizona haven't done anything spectacular. They will be favorites, but by no mean should we get smoked. If we do there is a big problem. Time to stop p--sy footing around on defense.

Local media is saying that JB is available for the SMC game tomorrow
