I'm in town for a few days, then to Ruidoso. Couple of things have had me shaking and scratching my head.
Watching Channel 7 sports Saturday; whoever was reporting could only mention that Branden Grace shot record round of 62 in The British Open. No mention at all of Speith leading the tournament. Guess if you have limited air time you have pick your priorities. Looking in The EP Times this AM back snd forth, in and out, up and down couldn't find even a mention of The Chihuahuas. No scores, no standings, no schedules. Nothing!

EPTimes more of an online product these days. Their print edition isn't very good. Very little local content and they've partnered with US Today to fill its pages.

Their lack of Chihuahuas coverage is sad, and a big missed opportunity.

I cut off my subscription to the EP Times. Do they still have adult entertainment ad's in there next to the articles?

Does anyone remember when Mike Price's photo was next to a topless establishment ad not long after he was hired? Classic EP Times. LOL. I remember.

Actually, Gannett owns the El Paso Times. They also own the USA Today. So it really isn't a partnership to fill their pages as much is it's a way to cut staff and save money.
Most print news publications missed the boat when online and social media jumped onto the scene. Instead of trying to figure out a way to become relevant online, which they still are unable to do, they threw all their eggs in one basket being online. They are so bad at it, no one even pays attention to them anymore. They totally outpriced themselves with print because there is zero to read for whatever they are charging these days.
They cover little to no local stories anywhere they own papers. If they provided ONLY local content in the print edition, odds are the towns would snatch it up seeing they can't get that anywhere online.
Not covering the Chihuahuas is pathetic. Doing in depth stories on all the players, one by one, would be a great read daily. Tracking each of the player's progress going up or down the ranks is interesting.

But nooooo....let's just try kill the print and kill the paper....knuckleheads....

The only people who subscribe and read it are olds -- for the obituaries.

So...I'm curious. Do you just rely on the internet to get a Chihuahua score or review the standings, or get player details and stats, etc. The Dallas Morning News for instance has Pacific Coast League standings and scores daily, unless the games are in the Mountain or Pacific time zones making them too late to make the deadline...
It's embarrassing.
Also, unihorn...I'm "OLD" and I never look at the obits.
