Haskins used go there. Why does El Paso overhype everything?? Lucy's is just like every Mexican restaurant in El Paso.

You get ever cross section of society in that place. You don't get that at "Good Coffee".Why does El Paso overhype everything?? Lucy's is just like every Mexican restaurant in El Paso.
It’s a nostalgia thing as MinerinWisconsin alluded to. Maybe Haskins reallly liked the owner/staff. Golding seems like a tradition guy.Why does El Paso overhype everything?? Lucy's is just like every Mexican restaurant in El Paso.
Doing field work on westside today. I'm hungryYou can't get Lucy's machaca like that anywhere else. Plus tacos antonia is awesome. The one near the old lomart is the best though. Their burgers are awesome. I Love Lucy's.
Haskins used go there.
My dad was a bit of a pool hustler and said sometimes Haskins would show up and shoot at the bar in Central EP he used to hang out at. Think it was called The Lion's Den or something like that?
Because El Paso has so many good Mexican restaurants that it's hard for any to stand out.If Lucy's so great why hasn't it expanded or got bigger?? Its still in the same little place. Whens the last time the place got a remodel??Are the owners millionaires??
Bring ANY of them up to Chicagoland! Why does El Paso overhype everything?? Lucy's is just like every Mexican restaurant in El Paso.
Agree. Especially considering all the other options. Not bad at all. Not the best either.Tacos Antonia are good, overall it’s just an OK place.
The logistics of doing that seems daunting to me. I mean, uproot an entire restaurant and move it 2000 miles?Bring ANY of them up to Chicagoland!
That place is awesome. Maddens favorite dish there was chicken picadoRight!
I ate there once and it had way too many raw onions.
There's a place in Van Horn called Chuy's that John Madden used to stop and eat at. So we were coming back from Dallas, stopped there, and Chuy's would go out of business if it were in El Paso.
I’ve never been to Lucy’s but that’s a bold statement. Chico’s is ok as a “once every 6 months” type of place but I’ve noticed that it almost always disappoints out of towners.Eh... it's almost as overrated as Chico's Tacos

In and Out is one of those places that if you’re from California it’s the best, or if you’re from Texas it’s Whataburger.Almost as overrated as In and Out Burger.
My dad would play pool with Don Haskins at the Lions Den. He was stationed at Ft Bliss and would go after work. Coach Haskins would play for a $100 a game. My dad would play him for $10 a game.
But The Lions Den was the spot.
Cheap booze LolWhy does El Paso overhype everything?? Lucy's is just like every Mexican restaurant in El Paso.

Whataburger is 10 times better than In and Out.
I disagree, but it's all good. I'm Texas born and raised and I don't get the obsession here with Shittyburger. Meat is cheap AF and the bread is as well. French fries? I'll give them that. Otherwise I think they are way way way overrated. But oh well.In and Out is one of those places that if you’re from California it’s the best, or if you’re from Texas it’s Whataburger.
I dunno. After midnight, Chico's was all good too me.Eh... it's almost as overrated as Chico's Tacos
This! My whole take on Chico's is, if the first time you try it you're sober on a weekday afternoon, you'll never like it. If your first time is when you're drunk at 2 AM, you're hooked for life (like so many other things).I dunno. After midnight, Chico's was all good too me.
