WTF!!! Who scheduled RIce on the second game!!!

We need to get to the heart of the problem and ask yourself, what has been going on the last years of utep fb? We are still not competitive to compete with the big boys or even teams in our conference. If you want a program that will be able to compete with top FB teams and win conference championship's, you need to dream big.... If you see something that is broken, you need find a way to fix it. Again, i'm not bashing kugler but how did Bob Stull hire a coach that does not have any Division 1 head coaching experience to run our program, when there were a bunch of good candidates out there to run our program. I think eventually kug will turn the ship someday but how long will that take. Ok, if we are going to be a Div 1 program, we have to decide as a city that UTEP has to be a power house program. Our FB team is the only thing we come close to as a pro league in this town. If we can get our "CHEAP" boosters to get our program where it needs to be, then it will be a win! Win! for everyone. Look at who will benefit for us being a power house in FB; The city of el paso, UTEP, The sales in merchandise, The university... Lets get real and have a good dialogue on what is going to take to this program where it needs to be. Paul Foster just sold his company for a couple of billion dollars, we have the hunt family that has not done a damn thing for us to help improve our FB program and the other cheap multi million dollar family's that have been given nothing back to the FB program. The abundant living center just built a two million dollar facility. We should stop complaining and stop making excuses on what is wrong with our program and really ask what are we going to do to get our program where it needs to be.

Last 14 years??
Do the names of Tommy Hudspeth or Gil Bartosh sound familiar?
Check out their record of futility.

Kug cleaned up one heck of a mess and earned every penny. Graduation rates are way up. Foundation for a young man to follow are in place. The point is to graduate and be a good father and worker. You don't get interviewed at a corporation to see your bench press.

But Kug has no one to blame. Many FBS can blame the AD for a limited recruiting budget, facilities that are not attractive to better recruits, presidents or boards who show a different view or a community whom do not support the program. And now, literal natural disasters that interupt your routines for practice and game day. Kug has none of that. IMO, he has the opposite. It's not big P5 salary but he's not worried about his neighborhood either.

This was a an ugly loss to a team that is more conservative than his. We all knew that 3 wins was realistic this year but that one win we hoped for told his buddy "Here, hold my beer!" and decided not to go to UTEP. This was like hoping that at least the sophomore nerd in high school says yes but instead rejects to attend homecoming with you.

This was ugly Kug. Really ugly. Cut the darned bullet point "it's on me" sloganeering. There was one time Kug opened it up to the team. Perhaps it's time to revisit that again.

Wait, Foster and Hunt haven't given back to this community? That's crazy talk.

Don't blame Foster and Hunt. They have done more than their share for EP. It's the crapy fans and other Alumni. When have you heard of any ex players giving back. (Football or basketball)

And blame a crappy AD who has very little expectations from our coaches and passes out contract extensions like candy at Halloween.
