Guard Christian Polk has signed a financial aid agreement and is transferring from Arizona State to UTEP. He will have two years of eligibility with the Miners beginning with the 2009-10 season.
Polk started 26 games for the Sun Devils as a freshman in 2006-07, averaging 12.0 points in 29.4 minutes per game.
A native of Glendale, Ariz., Polk was named the 2005-06 Region Player of the Year and a first team All-State selection at Deer Valley High School. He averaged 25 points as a prep senior with six 30-point games.
