Nothing worse than an apathetic fan base. And why have confidence that the athletic department will do anything with the money? We don't win championships in sports that matter, that build or change athletic departments. We play in a conference that no one in el paso will care for, outside of NMSU (who we played every year anyways). Fans are just sick of the acceptance of mediocrity.

I got three emails and a text message about the fundraising campain. In none of those four messages did it mention that Microsooft was helping or in what capacity. Poor marketing and message deliver...
It was pretty clear Microsoft was matching money, up to a certain amount. I gave, because it’s UTEP and any additional donation counts. That’s the ultimate problem, not enough give. I know they are down on the two main sports, but it doesn’t have to stay that way.
