Uteps NIL program
Glad that 2010 is worth 20+ other forgettable seasons to you then.Wait,
Caracter helping UTEP winning a CUSA title was very fun. (His tearing apart OU for his first UTEP game was tops).

But UTEP isn’t and never has been. UTEP can’t get away with charging UT prices because UT is playing Oklahoma, Kentucky, LSU, and Texas A&M. While UTEP is playing Tulsa, Western Kentucky, LaTech, and Sam Houston.Even if UTEP was as good as Texas all of a sudden, UTEP could never get away with charging what Texas does

👍Call me old school, but I hope NIU and Toledo stay in the MAC. It’d be nice to see be in a regional conference for a change.
El Paso is about 3,200 miles from Honolulu and 1,500 from Chicago. Chicago seems like it would have better flight times than those to Hawaii.Hawaii is in the west part of the USA.
Thank you Sam Houston for being dumb. It makes more sense for them to stay in an eastern league. I particularly don’t want to be in the same league as them anyway.I think Sam Houston is dumb to stay in CUSA if MWC gave them a shot. They’re leaving lots of money in the table if they did decline.

I agree or maybe N. Dakota St and Sacramento St. they have lots of money and have been pushing for FBS status and have a beautiful stadium on the way. I don’t love the Toledo/N. Illinois move, but I just think it’s a good chance it happensI rather have the Dakota schools than those two.
That kinda went out the door when Hawaii joinedCall me old school, but I hope NIU and Toledo stay in the MAC. It’d be nice to see be in a regional conference for a change.
It would, but if the moneys right they’ll come. If MWC could’ve had their pick I think it’d be Texas St. for all sports, but they’re holding out for PAC 12 I think.Call me old school, but I hope NIU and Toledo stay in the MAC. It’d be nice to see be in a regional conference for a change.
You think? They’ve been to the NCAAs as many times as UTEP has in the last 32 years, the last 4 seasons.Good Basketball pick up I think. I also think the Toledo/N. Illinois Football only thing is gonna happen. Not a bad basketball or football league. Utep better get their Sh… together if they wanna be competitive!

Naw. UTEP has the best fans in the G6. It’s amazing that they can still get 10,000 to football games for one of the worst programs in the history of FBS. To really sit here and complain it should be more or people should give more, is outrageous.Unfortunately that is the mentality in El Paso. People want Bueno, Bonito y Barato
I will donate, just got to figure out if I want to go with my heart and support the basketball team, go with my mind and donate to the football team, or trust that the administration will do the right thing and donate to the general fund.
Sul Ross and UTPB are not tune ups, they are glorified scrimmages. D2 teams should not be giving UTEP a competitive game. These first two to four games every season are just tune up games so coaches can put in all kinds of lineups to get a feel for what works for the team. I don't think they're designed to be great revenue generators. If fans want to hang out at a game at a time when they're not doing anything and shoot the breeze and watch what's really a glorified scrimmage that's fine. I wouldn't fret over that. But once the team gets several games into the season, we should start seeing noticeably better competition that looks good on our RPI. That's where we should be paying attention to fan turn out and how strong our competition is. Joining the MWC should be a serious step up in the level of Conference play. It'll be interesting if the Mountain West can bring in Grand Canyon U. to the Conference. That should be a step up, too. With all the realignment, the MWC may be taking a step down in football, but should be about the same in basketball, especially if they do get Grand Canyon. What do you think?
I hope they do. NIL is the only way we will be competitive again.
