It’s skewed data. The Nebraska game was on Fox, which is free and has a huge viewership compared to ESPNU and TruTV.

I only looked up one other school and Liberty had 1 game on ESPN2. All their other games were on ESPN+ or CBS SN. They did not face a P4 at all or have a game on Fox. That is why UTEP is #1.
Well with that said, I still think we're around the top 2 in a year without the power teams. Liberty is probably the only team that could beat us in viewership in CUSA.

I did a cursory glance at a few myself and couldn’t find something comparable. Colorado St game was apparently on TruTV but I don’t know if that counts in the Nielsen ratings.

I don't know exactly what this means but if it means what I think it means, its a good thing. I suspect what this means is that we have, relatively, a lot of people (most likely in EP) watching our games. TV eyeballs bring in advertising dollars which increases our media value. This is the reason we were taken over NMSU in the MWC despite their success and our failures on the field.

UTEP was tops in CUSA.

"NEW YORK – December 11, 2024 – Nielsen today shared its first-ever college football conference champions and overall team rankings based on total season average viewership, with the University of Georgia ranking as the most-watched team of the 2024 regular season. "
I guess that makes sense. UTEP only had 3 games on tv, Nebraska, Colorado St, and Western Kentucky. CBS SN does not participate in Nielsen ratings, so those games aren’t counted.

Tennessee is top 5 overall. Maybe that helped Uteps numbers a little bit??

I don’t even know what that means or what they’re trying to boast about.
