And I guess the sell-out crowd of 47k in attendance for UNT was too darn puny to motivate UTEPs players and prevent a blowout.

Listen if you want to hold the idiotic belief that crowds, fans, and the energy that comes from that doesnt matter, have at it. There isn’t a player nor coach on earth who would agree with such a ridiculous opinion
COVID games proved, that all teams can win games with no crowd. UTEP played their 2 best games of the season vs Boise & FIU in front of 2 very small crowds. They lost in front of a “sell out” crowd too. So they didn’t need any crowd energy to kick a good Boise teams ass. They didn’t need it either against FIU.
Crowds are for the fans and the school’s bottom line. Senter will talk about the UNT game on resumes and job interviews.
