I wouldn't be shocked if teams dont have enough players to play in a bowl game. Why play in some useless bowl game, if that player is going to just transfer??
NIL deals killing Bowl games too. If you look at the Transfer Portal declarations by big name players, you can assume it’s to get paid. Started with players not playing to prepare for the draft now it’s to prepare to transfer to a school with an NIL deal.
I wouldn’t be shocked either if a team in the future says they cannot play in a bowl game. I can easily see a team have all their QB’s in the Portal or draft.
