So where would you put the new track and field facility?
The Brumbalow building and the Track Building will be torn down. A student Athletic Resource and Athletic Department are built into the new athletic complex on the Kidd Field Site. Which is right next to Memorial Gym and the Dorma
That will give the space to build Beach Volleyball and Women’s soccer will move to Glory Field. That also gives soccer access to the IPF. And puts all the Team Sports in the same area.
Then you move Track and Field to the current women’s Soccer Fields. There are 2 there. Track doesn’t need to host meets.
Does UTEP really need a 15,000 seat Track Facility?
Kidd Field is Prime Real Estate at the epicenter of the UTEP Athletic Complex. How much Value and revenue does a 15000 seat Track Stadium bring to UTEP.
Imagine the transformation if that land was transformed into a building like the Ford Center (at The Dallas Cowboys Star Center in Frisco.)
The Ford Center has hosted the CUSA Basketball Tournament and host High School Football 3 days a week.
Holliday Hall (track building) and Brumbelow are on two opposite ends. Don’t forget military science is next to Brumbelow.
So, move soccer to glory field (current practice football field). What do you do with university field (current soccer home)?
Don’t forget that the dorms are spread out. Miner Village is next to Kidd field. Miner Canyon is on the other end near the softball field then Miner Heights is on the Oregon side of campus. Plan somewhat works if all the football team is at Miner Village.
Sounds great but how long and how much? Won’t be done in one off season for sure.

The University Field which is 2 fields will be the new home for Track. I don’t think it would be hard to find a home for the Military thing on the Main Campus.
if I could make a Master Plan though, Kidd Field is gone and in its place is the future
I agree, just wish I had 100million to make it happen. Unfortunately I couldn’t give 100.
I guess he didn't want to stay and see the upgrades to the Sun Bowl?
