And they're fired immediately. No reason to be waiting around when the whole season can be evaluated by the end of the last game.
UTEP needs to be a stepping stone for the next AD, not a fvckn retirement home where one can casually ride off into the sunset.

Could you imagine if Senter actually had the balls to host a town hall meeting with the community to answer questions as to why in the hell would he keep Golding. And the same goes for Wilson and answering the communities concerns and questions as to why she’s keeping Senter as an AD
It might be time for people to take their concerns to Wilson, directly. Senter hands out undeserving extensions like candy.
I say this with all seriousness. I don’t know that Senter or Wilson care about the fans, Utep Sports or winning. They are academic type of people. Even Senter coming from Citadel was weird hire. They don’t have a track record was very successful sports programs that I recall. I like Walden and at least recruiting wise he’s shown promise. Golding was a good coach on paper when he was hired for building a team over time given more resources. However 4 years later it’s more than obvious he’s not the man for the job. So if he gets extended for literally accomplishing nothing it’ll prove Senter and Wilson don’t care about fans or athletics!
Wilson being hired was also a bit weird. Seems like a really political appointment giving her prior experience at only a very small school. I know that she was in congress but her tenure there was a bit controversial for a number of reasons. There is also that stuff that came up recently with the aerospace center grant that was controversial and not handled very well. From what I've read, The faculty have issues with her. In a lot of ways you can include her in my prior comments regarding leadership positions in El Paso being handed to outside people that don't necessarily deserve it or understand or truly care about our community

What does this have to do with anything? You know I’m on board with Golding being gone, but you can’t compare this guys record Goldings. We aren’t satisfied yes, but this was not a good comparison Kane!

I’ll make a comparison. It shows other schools don’t tolerate mediocrity like UTEP does. Produce results now or get shown the door.
It's easy to do when you have an endless piggy bank from which to draw from. As you know, UTEP is far from that situation and is forced to think of other monetary factors. I think it has a huge impact on Senter's decision making process as to whether or not to keep or fire CJG.
Fordham hasn’t made the NCAA Tournament since 1992, sucks, and plays in a 100 year old gym. They’re moving on after 3 years. They don’t have an endless piggy bank to draw from. That’s why they suck.
