Kugler's goal for the rest of the season should be to not have an aneurysm or get booked for something that would require a good lawyer.

Riley is definitely on the hot seat in Nebraska. He will not make it after December.

Kug is different story. There are rumors that there are big boosters wanting him gone but Stull will leave immediately if Natalicio says enough is enough this season. He had an agrreement with her when Stull got here and I doubt she would pull the rug out now from under his feet and saddle the new AD with a hire he or she had no input into. This is a quiet leadership public administration practice at all levels of public work when there is a new sheriff coming to town because a reputable public figure (the head coach) will not chance their career based on the fact the new boss may want a different route or philosophy that may clash.

She can wait until they get here but recruiting will be heating up and a Kug early in season dismissal may be bad juju. I'd wait until the AD position is solidified and hopefully soon. All within state guidelines of course; but time is of the essence.

If we don't show there is going to be change you think our recruiting was bad before. No kid with any ability is going to come to UTEP under Kuglar and what the future has for us. Change is needed now. Maybe not a hire but a fire.
