I have been monitoring this message board over the past year or so without comment, but I can no longer hold in my frustration with the trolls! First of all none of you have ever played or coached basketball or football. All you do is blast coaches and players left and right. Do you not realize that recruits, players, and parents read your garbage. Do u think this helps recruiting? You must not watch college or pro ball and see that teams get beat..
I can't believe you idiots that are blaming our asst coaches and calling for their jobs. That is so stupid. We are lucky to have the football and basketball assistant coaches that we have. Our basketball staff is more qualified then any conf usa staff. Don't disrespect the coaches and their experience. Let's not forget we are in Mexico! All of you were calling for Kugler,s head a year a go and now Floyd and staff. Where were u when they had won 7 straight. Where will u be if they win the tourney? Be a true UTEP fan and supporter and be positive and root on your team. Remember these days everyone reads Internet stuff and let's not cost future recruits from coming from message board ignorance. How about we show up to the game and support our seniors!!!

College athletics is a big business. Like any business those at the top must be held accountable for poor performance.Its laughable that we cant criticize coaches especially when 95% of the posters on this board support the athletic department monetarily.

OP, you say we have the best coaching staff in CUSA. We also have the highest rated recruits, as a whole, in CUSA. Tell me, if this coaching staff is so great, why it is that we are struggling so mightily? Something is broken internally. Pretending it's not, won't help anything. You must be new to the internet, because if you go to any college sports board, you will find people unhappy. So don't come over here expecting anyone to listen to you... Many have been fans for a long time, some are new like me ( 10 years) but we all have our ways of expressing our displeasure, and I have also seen most of us be the first to praise their good work!

And if players frequent the board, so be it! They will also see the passion us fans have... In the WWE ( yes wrestling) if you get a reaction, it's a good thing.. Whether it's a boo or a cheer.

Most players recognize the passion, I saw Hunter post about the fans on twitter on how great they are...


Clearly by the "Mexico" comment, shows your true colors... So just because UTEP is near the border, we have to accept whatever bones are thrown to us? GTFO with that logic...

19-9 and 11-5 is struggling? Many teams would dream of that record. Truth is after this weekend the Miners will be in 3 rd and be in same position regardless of this past weekend. I love your responses to my first post. It shows you all are clueless. My point is let's come together and support utep and these student athletes. By the way I do support the athletic dept monetarily. I'm sure much more then all you fair weather utep fans do. Give me a better reply then those posted. I cant wait to see everyone's posts in 2 weeks!

Ummm...when you play in this modern day CUSA, 11-5 fits the description of struggling imo. Losing to Marshall and SoMiss, while barely scraping by against several other CUSA bottom feeders, is proof of that struggle. You obviously don't look very deeply into the matter. W-L record, on it's own, makes for a weak argument. Teams that would dream to have that record, SUCK! I have no issues with your concept of support for UTEP bb. To each their own. But calling out fans for voicing their displeasure at the current condition of this Miner team, who Floyd talked up as his best yet, exposes either how thin your skin is or how low your bb IQ is, maybe even both.

I believe this makes UTEP the only NCAA D1 school in Mexico. All of this time I thought El Paso was in the United States, I was way off. It's strange the university would name itself The University of Texas at El Paso and be in Mexico. How could they make that mistake?
