The NCAA is waving the SAT/ACT requirement for initial eligibility. If a student was scheduled to take the SAT/ACT in the spring in order to become a fully qualifier, he/she will not have to take the exam. All that is required now is the for NCAA D1 student athletes is that they have completed 10 core courses in the seven previous semesters of high school, and have a GPA of 2.3 or higher.
 
Hard to figure the effects of this......maybe hurt the JC and prep schools but most football recruiting for the 2020 is done, basketball is mostly done. Helps the prospects that were waiting on scores to qualify, but if a school really wants a kid there are multiple ways to get them enrolled.

UTEP has a 100% acceptance rate, so it doesn't affect us.
