Watching the tourney so far and the talent level isn't much above that of C USA. It's just the name of the conference that keeps the schools more relevant than they should be.
I always enjoy watching the mid major schools like MT and Yale beat the P5 schools. I hope UTEP can be one of those schools in the near future.
Umm why are you gonna go with a no on that one?? They let in very few mid major teams into the tournament we all know that and look what those teams are doing!!! ,
Mid tenn state beat a team that was supposed to be in the final four
Sfa beat West Virginia who was a 3 seed
Yale beat Baylor
Northern Iowa beat Texas
Arkansas little rock
Wichita state
All these teams won over the past two days and considering the number of mid majors they let in that is damn impressive and it shows that mid majors if they got their chance could hang with anyone!

Next year, the tournament committee will feel justified in allowing the same amount of mid-majors as this year. Their (ncaa's) effort is to make money. P5s bring in more revenue - even in the 2nd round - because they have more money to spend and bigger resources to draw money from. Still, it's pleasant enough to see a Yale or NIU or whoever is a double digit seed advance to the next round. Would be great to see the Miners with this opportunity next year!
