CTF radio show

Did anybody listen in? Anything of relevance?
Tim Floyd said Willms cast will not come off until September and take around 2 months to rehab. He said he loves Mcswiggan and cant wait for him to hit the court and will be a freshman. They are trying to get Moore the year he lost as a sophomore in JC, since he only played in 3 games. He also likes Kelvin Jones who has already put on 35 lbs of muscle since he arrived here. He is 6'11" 245lbs. They are trying to go find a big man who can bang like Winn but bigger and taller.

I only heard the first half of the show and he pretty much went off on the selection committee. He also mentioned how Texas Tech should not be in there with their record and how Monmouth got screwed over big time. I was curious about TT myself and remembered throughout the season their losses stacking up and was shocked that they made it in, so I looked it up and walaaa,...they went .500 in conference play. UNBELIEVABLE! I guess if you're in a P5 conference, all you need to do is win half your conference games and your a lock, what a load of sh**. I know there is a couple of other schools such as Oregon St. and maybe Syracuse that have similar records but too sick to my stomach to look into it.

Cast not off until September?! Jesus, what did they do, saw off his foot and then reattach it?

I'm sure you meant Wilmms, ha. Let's hope they find that banger, don't care if it's jc, but doubtful at this point. Maybe a senior transfer?
I did sorry and I put no stock in him helping n not sure why Floyd is so determined to make it work lol

Thanks for the comments.

That pretty much confirms what I already suspected, in that Wilmms is not a factor for next season. Even if he does get back on the court at some point, it'll be a long time before he gets comfortable.

Unless Floyd nabs some 'big" who's an immediate impact player, we seem to be in much the same position next year as we were this season. I'm sure Jones is a decent player, but I don't know enough about him to start believing he'll be the inside player that we really need.

Floyd has got to know this season is make or break (I'm sure the staff and boosters are getting fed up at this point), so hopefully he's got one last trick up his sleeve.....assuming he sticks around....

If Willms has a cast on his foot until September, then one would think that he should at least add some weight over the next 6 months and become a damn good Free Throw Shooter.

Are you effing kidding? I really like how he threw the ball down with authority in his HS film. It showed some willingness to play mean. With 35 extra pounds, he should be a friggin beast. I like.

That JC banger will hopefully be Kavel Bigby-Williams who I believe is 6'9" and about 230 pounds. He is the one that is from England and played with McSwiggan. The video I saw of him was enough for me. He's got some interest from other schools like UC Irvine, Charlotte, and others.

If the Miners do land him, not sure how it looks for scholarships or if someone is shown the door.

I was following all the "bubble teams". Texas Tech was going to be in due the number of quality wins they had within their conference. The selection committee really messed up in their selections of: Tulsa, Syracuse, Michigan, Vanderbilt and in omitting Monmouth, South Carolina (over Vanderbilt), St Bonventure, San Diego St., and St Marys.

I think bigger schools are looking at Bigby now. I know Texas was in to see him in the last month or so.

Yes, some bigger name schools are looking at him now, but of the schools that have offered him a scholarship, it is UTEP, Charlotte, UC Irvine, and Iona (not Iowa).

Wilms has Greg Odin's feet. Unfortunate that some big men have such weak feet.

Not exactly sure why so many have the doom and gloom outlook in regards to Willms' foot injury. Yes, I know this type of fracture has put an end to several prominent bball players' careers. Yes, I know it can be a difficult and lengthy recovery. It is good to keep in mind, though, that far more people recover from this injury than not. We just tend to hear about those that don't recover, or have set backs...because that is obviously more newsworthy. Let's not count him out just yet.
