So I've been thinking about it and I think it's obvious Floyd has had no continuity due to some issues not his fault and some is own pride. I was watching a clip from that last Barbee team coached by Floyd in 2011 when we los to Memphis by 1 and didn't go to the NCAA, which by the way was one of my lowest points as a Miner Fan. Anyway that team didn't just have players they were a team. From Polk, to Culpepper, JuJu and on down the line. (Still think if Moultrie and are other Big Man, forgetting his name right now come back we make a run at elite 8. Anyway point is Floyd has tried creative ways to bring players, but the results have not matriculated on to the court. It was exciting at first to see these great recruiting ranking, but some players never make it, get suspended etc... I know Floyd has had some bad fortunes, but alot has been his own doing and teams have not been developed over the years. Here's hoping that things turn around on this young season and this team turns into a team, not just individuals with some talent. If not we'll all be back on here singing the same old tune, "Maybe Next Year"

It's so true, what you are saying. Bad luck is part if, but Floyd obviously has contributed to the amazing disappointments. There hasn't been one year that I can recall where there hasn't been high drama of various sorts. Every year I get so pumped for the season to start, but now I'm hesitant for the next game to start.

Agree, and we don't have a definite style or identity, haven't had one since Barbee. Haskins was man to man defense, Rabedeaux was drive and dump, Billy G was run till you drop (my favorite), Doc was pattern and hold it, Barbee's teams had the dribble drive. As a fan I enjoyed most all of these styles, but for some reason Floyd's teams seem different every year and I can't as a fan point to any particular advantage we are focused on. Every year a glaring weakness emerges and teams learn to exploit it by mid-season. I hate the junk defense we run because it tends to give up open looks. We have droughts on offense almost every game, free throw shooting goes from fantastic to horrid from one game to the next. We have some depth a certain positions but it really never seems to be a factor. Players seem to fill in and then fall out of favor and can't really adjust. From a fan observation, it's hard basketball to watch.

In my opinion also Floyd should've understand needs and as soon as he knew Hunter was gone, he should've been on the trail for a transfer bruiser downlow.

Yeah, it's just THAT easy to get a transfer....maybe he WAS trying to get someone but he just didn't get him?

Not necessarily a D1 Transfer I'm talking JC ranks as well. Here's all I know Billy Gillespie did it in 2 years and Barbee did it in 3, whatever n e one wants to say, Floyd has gotten it done in 6

Honestly brotha, I can't argue. I will say the other guys didn't try to swing at the fence. Floyd does. Unfortunately, he misses the ball too much...
