Once again....he has been the leading rebounder by far and the second leading scorer. The offense has been primarily run through him so far this season. It's ridiculous to discount his contributions.

We'll just have to disagree, because once again, it really depends on who Willms is posting up against. Lil Train is one of our more level headed posters here at Digs and I don't think he said what he said to be a douche. I've seen Willms disappear for whole games, so LT's assertion is not so far fetched...especially if he watched the game and felt that way. It's ok, we can civilly disagree here.

Thanks FanatiCoog. Losing to NMSU definitely heightens my level of frustration. In this game, the NMSU bigs shot better from the outside than expected, so I think Willms presence would have had little affect on that. He would have helped on the defensive rebounding side. We need Smith to perform much better. I didn't think either team played particularly well. Hopefully, our shooting picks up at home, and we can beat these guys on Thursday.

I agree Willms would have made a difference against NMSU. Wade would have contribute too. Those are our top 2 shot blockers as well.

Our 3 point shooting is hurting us. We should be around 40%. Gilyard and Flaggert missed ALL of their attempts, Omega is just not shooting them and Osborne only made 1. Frazier is doing his part. He basically came off the street and is now our best player. Sad.

Lamar is pretty good, 4-1, but they do have a home loss to CS Bakersfield of the WAC and a road win at Tulsa of the vaunted AAC.

I don't know what the spread was on the game as I never saw it, but considering the player losses I fully feared a stomping tonight. It was not!

NMSU is rebuilding to a certain extent. UTEP has zero excuses. Play hard all you want. Still losing. Floyd is lost in the wilderness... Follow the North Star...

Even sadder. It seems like the past numbers of years NMSU always wins, even with players leaving and going to the NBA.
