Since Romo is out, it looks like Showers will be the backup QB.

Kellen Moore is the other QB on the practice squad, but I think they will go with Showers.

I agree with STex, they will sign a veteran backup vs a rookie. Not sure how that works if they don't put Romo on IR. They have an 8 week one where he wouldn't miss the season. If he stays active then maybe a practice squad guy? SUCKS!

Yeah, that's what he's listed as. My impression is that he made the team as a scout team jack of all trades first, special teamer second, and QB last. You're going to tell me that a team in win now mode is going to have Showers one play away from playing?

Oh hell no. If we can get him for a 7th maybe. The Boys shouldn't give up anything of value for a player that has very little value or help the Skins out with their problem.

My money's on Matt Flynn. I swear I can see Flynn sitting at home on Sundays with voodoo dolls of every NFL QB and stabbing the #$#% of them.

The only reason he may get a look is because he is more familiar with the offense than Moore or anyone they bring off the street.
