Just saw Kalu drive from the top of the key for a bucket. I've never seen that before. Helps when playing extremely inferior players
Just noticed that we don't have the score in the corner of the screen on the broadcast. Another high quality UTEP production.
Hamilton looks great tonight against these D2 big men. Too bad he (and everyone else) looked so bad against D1 competition

Ah, yes, that's right, I forgot about the fight. Good thing that our next game was against UTPB instead of a real opponent.
The Miners are playing very sloppy basketball with tons of turnovers and we’re not defending well at all. I just don’t see this team doing well in CUSA.
4-6 with a difficult non-conference is the way to go in a crappy one bid conference. It makes you a better team come conference time IMO.

That's actually a pretty good crowd on a Tuesday night against a DII team.

Honestly wasn’t thinking about this team at all — just a general question …. I am not a fan of 8-2 teams who have played absolutely no one… I would rather be 4-6 and playing some tough teams and learning what it takes to be competitive with those …. I just think this fan base would never be ok with a 4-6 type team no matter who they were playing …..
I don’t understand why we don’t play baylor, smu, Houston or any of those teams in Texas …. I went to the Baylor game last night with Sam Houston.. why can’t it be Utep ?
Just being realistic based on how we performed against Utah valley. We’re heading into a stretch against a couple of teams that each won 20+ games last season. Add in an away game at Louisville, and the only matchup I feel somewhat confident about is against San Jose State. Take off your rose colored glasses and try looking at things through a neutral angle.
