Not a UTEP Grad, a BYU Grad. He was really involved with the Mormon Church thats right off Campus on Oregon Street. And when he was with the Eagles, he had a clause in his contract that he could walk away without penalty for the BYU HC job.

Why didn't Utep have better candidates? The Basketball team was able to steal D 1 head coaches . The football team had to look at assistants and 1 head coach. I Utep would have better options.

I believe that only Bob Stull has left UTEP for another HC job in the last 60
Years. Maybe the basketball job is better
