Why did UNC and NMSU beat them by 37 points or more and we only beat them by 19?
Ok, I'll bite...the first half results were indicative of the strength of the teams...the second half was indicative of the coaches philosophy of playing/resting/evaluating his team in a meaningless game. That said, the game was meaningful for what the coach said: it bridged a gap during the schedule between the start of conference play. Make sense?
We're still working crap out. Would you still complain if we beat NMSU by 20 and Tech beat them by 2?
Where’s the complaint? I asked a question. I guess UNC and NMSU weren’t working crap out when they played Northern New Mexico? Only UTEP is working crap out during game 14?
Is it really indicative of anything that UTEP only won by 19? I mean if you really think about it.
Because winning back to back games by 49 and 51 points just over a year ago wasn’t indicative of anything either.
Not to be a downer like this and I didn’t watch the game and I assume we played reserves in the later part of the second half. However I can’t help, but think these are games we should win by 30-40. However I will say Golding teams for some reason play up or down to the competition and that’s obviously coaching.
Northern Colorado gave up 98 points to 1–12 Prairie View A&M and was able to beat NNMU by 42 points. UNC is a bad basketball program. I would be more concerned that they can beat a sorry ass school worse than we can.
You are right though, winning by X points over crappy teams doesn’t matter.
